Is my sensitive business data safe?
Yes. Your PDFs are never stored on our servers. Splitting happens right in your browser. For detection, the pages are sent encrypted to the AI in the EU and discarded afterwards. Your documents are not used to train AI models.
Who has access to my documents?
Detection is fully automatic; nobody at PDF Splitter sees your documents. They are only processed for the analysis and not kept. We store your account and the number of pages processed, for billing.
Where is my data processed?
The AI analysis runs in data centres in the EU, and your account data is in the EU as well. We send e-mails via Hostpoint in Switzerland. Your contract partner is Agenturen Mani in Cham (Zug), Switzerland. All service providers are listed in the privacy policy.
How does the automatic splitting work?
The AI analyses the visual and textual structure of the pages to find logical document boundaries, for example where a new invoice, letter or contract begins.
What if the AI splits incorrectly?
The page preview shows every split point, and you can add or remove it with one click before you download.
Can I choose the file names myself?
Yes. You define prefixes, suffixes and numbering so that the files fit your existing folder structure. The document date can be set as a prefix automatically.
Can I scan directly with my phone?
Yes. On your phone you open the camera right in the browser, no app needed. On a computer, PDF Splitter shows a QR code: point your phone at it, photograph the pages, and they appear on your screen instantly.
Do I get a data processing agreement?
Yes. For all plans we provide a data processing agreement under the Swiss FADP and the GDPR. Accounting firms need it for their clients’ data.
Can I cancel at any time?
Yes. Monthly plans can be cancelled at any time for the end of the current period, directly in the customer portal. Yearly plans run until the end of the paid year.
